The courtyard is surrounded by the ancient walls of the church „Santa Maria dei Servi“. The buildings around are used as a student hostel. The task was to plan something for everyone into the area which works with the ancient church and respects it.
`So Little as possible, as much as necessary` is the device.
The minimalist, monolithic Pavilion is connected with the ancient walls. The flooring begins at the entrance to the new bridge and goes up to the inventory and forms the roof, in one element. In front of the pavilion is a stage for events. Under the roof there is a closed glass cube, which can be a café or a learning room.
